Dahlia Love

I love to bring the outdoors inside, especially flowers. In New England, the flower season is short, but divine! Dahlias are a family favorite, and last year I visited my father-in-law's garden to photograph the spectacular array of blossoms. I had a hunch a textile design would emerge, and indeed it has! Pompom Dahlias in the house!

A renewed interest in antique is building, which bodes well for the finely crafted furniture of the decorative past. "Brown furniture" is sharing stage again, so get on the hunt for your one-of-a-kind items while they are plentiful and affordable! Paired with modern elements and set against a palette of minimalist neutrals, antiques are experiencing a new, chic life.
I tagged this article from the New York Times a few years ago, wondering (hoping) the author was on to something! Read on for ideas to create this fresh new (old) look, and check out my Antique Chic board on Pinterest!

Mom & Son Designed Bedding

My 6-year old son, Jasper, needed quilts for his room, so we started shopping for new ones. A big fan of “The T” (Boston’s subway system), Jasper had high hopes for some big trains. Nothing was quite right, so he and I designed our own! After some sketches and train station visits, we reached our final design. This train is called “Big Trolley”! Here it makes its debut in the Garson Jasper Bedding Collection – in 4 colorways. Check it out!
